CUAHSI Hydrologic Information System

CUAHSI's Hydrologic Information System (CUAHSI-HIS) provides web services, tools, standards and procedures that enhance access to more and better data for hydrologic analysis.

Components

The CUAHSI-HIS contains numerous individual tools and components that provide different functionality within the system. This design accommodates a wide variety of needs in the community. Unless otherwise specified, the components described here have been developed by the CUAHSI-HIS team. Here are the components organized in a variety of ways:

By Function

Data Discovery Tools — clients and websites that allow users to search for data.
Web Service Clients — applications that access data via web services.
Web Services — utilities that deliver data, as XML, directly to an application or computer program.
Data Repositories — databases that store data and/or meta data.
Data Manager/Central Administrator Clients — applications that access/update data (require authentication).
Registries — websites that allow data managers to register aspects of their data networks with the system.

Deprecated

These are tools that are no longer actively being used as part of HIS. In most cases, the functionality has been incorporated into one or more new tools.
